This course discusses introduction to methods that are used in policing. These topics include Police Subculture, Community-Oriented Policing and Problem Solving, Extraordinary Problems and Methods, Civil Liability and Comparative Perspectives.
Police Administration examines police organizations and administration in the Police Departments. It gives in great detail, current and future trends in police administration and organization. It also examines police recruiting, selection, management, leadership, and policy.
This course examines current issues impacting the criminal justice system across cultures. It presents an analysis of the social issues facing professional law enforcement officers including race, ethnicity, and gender. The impact of decision-making process of police, in regards to cultural consideration and social impact is also explored.
This course provides an examination of the police supervisor’s role and responsibilities as they relate to leading, directing, and controlling personnel both formally and informally. It gives a detailed overview of the leadership skills required by the police force to actively perform their duties.
